Sumatra

Sumatra is the third Biggest island in the archipelago. The massive Bukit Barisan mountain range which runs almost entire length of the island make up Sumatras’s diverse landscape of dense tropical forest, rugged coastlines, wide Sandy beaches, deep gorges and steamy swamps. A large part of them are protected reserves, such as the Bukit Barisan Forest Reserve in North Sumatra. Sumatra today is divided into nine provinces: NangroeAceh Darussalam ( NAD ), North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau and the Riau Archipelago, Jambi, Bengkulu, Bangka-Belitung, Lampu and South Sumatra
